During a fictive university project, we developed a new Corporate Design for the Gutenberg Museum Mainz – one of the oldest museums of printing and typography in the world. The iconic black letter logogram reminds of the historic background of the Gutenberg Bible, the first ever printed book using movable metal type and its inventor Johannes Gutenberg. The design is based on bold black typography and two reddish shades besides the black letter logogram which is cut on two of four sides. The bleed creates the word marks dynamic and modern look. The identity includes not only business cards, tickets, stationary, program and info brochure but also a draft for the website.
